The Engineering Design Process (EDP) we use here at Burns Sci Tech. is:
Plan, Create, Test, Ask 
These four steps incorporate all the same principles of the EDP, but it is broken down into steps which are easier to recall for even our youngest learners. I use the Lakeshore Learning graphics below as signs posted in the STEAM lab to remind students of our EDP and as a teaching tool.
